RULES -

Basic Rules for Participation

  • Participants must be a full time employee of the organization they are representing.
  • All the players are required to carry the official Identity cards and produce before the beginning of all events and when asked for.
  • All participants must be of reasonable health & fitness to participate in the specific events.
  • On field, judges / organizers / Referees / Umpires decision would be final.
  • The event Schedule and venues will be decided by our committee and will be final and abiding. Any alterations made by organizers on change of date or venue due to unforeseen reasons, has to be accepted by participants.
  • The participant company has to appoint a coordinator, who will be a Single One Point Contact (SPOC) for the organizers and would communicate the same to the team members.
  • The nomination form along with the details of the participants has to be submitted to the organizers at least 1 week ahead of the event start
  • Additional nominations, if any would have to be submitted along with the necessary forms and payments as per schedule, after the event completion.
  • In case of the nomination being changed, the same has to be notified to the organizers at least one day in advance of the event.
  • All participants have to preferably appear for all the events in the Official T Shirts only.
  • During all the events, the participants need to be present at least 30 minutes prior to the designated start time.
  • All safety gears and Playing equipments have to be brought by the participants. The organizers would be providing the consumables only.
  • The organizers will not be responsible for any kind of incidents / mishaps / loss of property on or off the field.
  • The events would be completed in stipulated time depending on the number of participants. Participants might have to play multiple rounds on any given day.
  • All teams are requested to maintain discipline and to avoid any kind of arguments with any other participant.
  • Food & Beverages will be provided to all participants at the venue as per the event timings. Also note that food will be provided for participants playing currently and not for those whose matches are completed for the day.
  • F5 Ventures has the Rights to reject any application if found biased

All matches are based on Knockout Basis unless specifically mentioned.

Tennis BallCricket :
•  All the Matches in this event will be played on a Knockout Basis.
•  The draws of the match would be fixed by the organizing committee based on the number of participating teams and no changes would be entertained. The draws would be made available on our website www.corporateolympiad.com
•  Each match is limited to 10 Overs a side. There is a Time Limit of Thirty five Minutes to bowl the 10 Overs in an Inning. A bowler gets to bowl 3 Overs Maximum.
•  The winners of the respective match would enter the next round of the tournament.
•  The team scoring greater number of runs in 10 Overs or before they are All-out, whichever is earlier, will be declared WINNER.
•  The match will be declared TIE, if both the team scores same number of Runs, irrespective of lost wickets or Run rate. In case of a tie in scores, bowl out would be carried out between the teams on best of 5 basis. The winner would be decided thru that.
•  The pitch length would be 20 yards Stumps to Stumps. The pitch length should be verified by both captains and umpire BEFORE the start of the game and can not be modified once the play has started.
•  There is NO limitation on placement of fielders as long as they do not cause obstruction to the batsman.
•  There would be no LBW out in this tournament, also leg byes would not be granted.
•  In case a playing member of the team becomes "unfit to play" during the progress of the game, the fielding side can use substitute fielders to replace the "injured" player. Umpires and opposition captain reserve the right to disallow substitute fielders for the late arriving playing members of the fielding side and also for the injured players.
•  The wicket keeper can bowl , during the same innings, after one over is bowled between his keeping and bowling.
•  If a match is interrupted or abandoned due to rain, re-match will be played. This would be done on an available time slot and might have to be played even on a weekday. In case of a second wash out, the result will be drawn by bowl out method.
•  All the Matches in this Tournament shall be played under the latest MCC Laws like extra run scored in no-ball, wide etc. But any Ball over the Waist level in a full toss and any ball over the shoulder otherwise, will be considered a No Ball. No player shall be declared out due to LBW, under any circumstances. Free hit balls are not applicable under any condition.
•  At any given time only the Captain of the Team must & has the right to speak (No Arguments) to Umpires or the Organizers.
•  Players can wear any colored or white T shirt and tracks. No player will be allowed to play without wearing sports shoes and tracks . (No player will be allowed to play in shorts)
•  Before the Toss in a match, both the Captains must handover the list of their playing ELEVEN to the Tournament Committee and No changes will be allowed thereafter.
•  The playing teams must be present THIRTY minutes before the start of the play and are also requested to take care of their own belongings, as the organizers will not be responsible for loss of their property or valuables.
•  Organizers will not be responsible for any injuries or mishaps at the venue. The participants are requested to carry their own safety equipments .
•  All the teams will bring in their own kits and the Organizers will provide teams with approved Tennis balls which must be used during official games.
•  All the teams will play in good spirit and maintain the decorum of the game and no one will be allowed to pass any comments/remarks on any one/s on the field or off the field. If any such incident comes to notice, the Committee has full powers to enquire the matter and if proved true, then such team including the player/s will be penalized/scratched from the Tournament.
•  In case of a possible dispute regarding a hit for 4/6 runs and /or a catch at the boundary, fielders are advised to stay put and help the umpire make the decision by holding their ground. Benefit of doubt shall always go to the batsman.
•  One representative from each playing side will accompany the official scorer and inform him about the player's detail. They also need to check time and again the Data and Spellings of the player, which would be used for our record purpose. In case the representative is not available, no corrections or amendments would be allowed later.
•  All players must carry their Photo ID Cards or a letter from the company authorizing the player to be an employee of the company. In absence of this, the player would not be allowed to play the match.
•  If a Player from one company participates for a particular team, he has to represent the same team throughout the tournament.
The decision of the Committee shall be final in all matters. On field the umpire's decision would be considered final.
