The Corporate Olympiad started on 28th July '07 is an event set up to encourage companies to support employees' pursuit of a more active, healthier lifestyle. It also brings out the skill sets of various employees in sports arena, which are often forgotten due to the fast paced, stressful life. This event is a tribute to companies that have recognized the benefits of participating in the Games, where both the company and employees benefit from getting together as part of a sporting team."
Fifteen sports are being offered in this Corporate Sports Olympiad, appealing to just about everyone. Senior managers to raw recruits, all get into the spirit and action of the Games.
The Games also encourage family, friends and clients to take part by way of cheering etc.
Most of the events also encourage women to participate by having separate category for them in various sports.
Some organizations have large teams, but even if you are a small team, you can enter this competition. Size is not the constraint in winning and winning medals for your company would be your only challenge, be it one or many.
Everyone from the CEO to the trainees can share in being part of a team in this event. The games would be played at the best of the venues, including popular stadiums, Clubs, indoor and outdoor locations, exclusive gaming zones etc. Overall there are 16 different sports including cricket, football, volleyball, snooker, bowling, Karting, golf, athletics, swimming etc.
There is a prestigious rolling trophy for the team with the maximum number of Gold Medals. All the sports will be conducted on weekends or late in the evenings, enabling maximum participation, without disturbing work.
There will be adequate refreshments during the event, to give that extra pep and energy to the participants.
